MORE ABOUT LEXCEL
Lexcel is an accreditation scheme run by the Law Society as the Law Society's legal practice quality mark for client care, compliance and practice management. Further details about the Lexcel scheme can be found on the Law Society's website on its
Lexcel section.
LEXCEL IN PRACTICE
Lexcel is one of the ways we ensure that we provide the best possible service to our clients. The scheme covers seven broad areas including client care, file management and case management but in essence the scheme sets out what the Law Society considers to be best practice for the running and management of a law firm.
What Lexcel means for us is that we not only have to ensure that we have appropriate policies and procedures in place meeting best practice but that we can demonstrate that we have complied with those standards, or in other words, that we walk the walk.
EXTERNAL AUDITS
Lexcel means that every year an independent external auditor appointed by a body approved by the Law Society will audit the practice and look at the firm's documentation and case files to ensure that we have met the high standards required by Lexcel . This helps to provide assurance to clients and prospective clients of the firm's commitment to excellence in legal practice management and client care.
KEY RESULTS FROM OUR 2023 FULL LEXCEL RE-ASSESSMENT

"The organisation is to be commended in that thirty seven areas of good practice were identified during the assessment. These evidence either a diligent approach to complying with the requirements or identify areas in which the minimum Lexcel requirement has been exceeded."
